When completing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in the Work Instruction App, users can provide input using a wide range of configurable fields—such as checkboxes, text fields, date selectors, sliders, maps, digital signatures, and more. Each input type is designed to ensure accurate data collection at every step of your workflow.
Checkbox
The Checkbox input field allows users to select one or more predefined options while completing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). This is ideal for confirming multiple tasks, conditions, or checks in a single step.
As a manager you can add a checkbox to your workflow. To do this, click on the
"Add element" button in the editor:
Then click on the "Checkbox" button under the "User Input" tab:
Give your checkbox a
clear and descriptive name. This will be shown to users during SOP execution.
Every checkbox includes at least one predefined option. Use the label field to describe each option clearly. You can add additional options by clicking
"Add option".
Date
The Date input field enables users to select a specific date while following a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). This is useful for logging inspection dates, deadlines, or approvals within your workflow.
As a manager you can add a date to your workflow. To do this, click on the
"Add element" button in the editor:
Then click on the "Date" button under the "User Input" tab:
Make sure to provide a
clear and descriptive label for the date field so that users immediately understand its purpose.
Drawing / Sign
The Drawing or Sign input field allows a user to sign or draw when completing a Standard Operating Procedure.
As a manager you can add a drawing element to your workflow. To do this, click on the
"Add element" button in the editor:
Then click on the "Drawing" button under the "User Input" tab:
Provide a clear and descriptive name for the drawing field.
Number
The number input field allows a user to enter a number when completing a Standard Operating Procedure.
As a manager you can add a number element to your workflow. To do this, click on the
"Add element" button in the editor:
Then click on the "Number" button under the "User Input" tab:
Provide a clear and descriptive name for the number field so users understand its purpose immediately.
Map location
The map input field allows a user to select a location on a map when completing a Standard Operating Procedure.
As a manager you can add a map location to your workflow. To do this, click on the
"Add element" button in the editor:
Then click on the "Map location" button under the "User Input" tab:
Provide a clear and descriptive name for the map location field. Select an existing map or upload a new map.
Radio button
The radio button input field allows a user to select an option with a radio button when completing a Standard Operating Procedure.
As a manager you can add a radio button to your workflow. To do this, click on the
"Add element" button in the editor:
Then click on the "Radio Button" button under the "User Input" tab:
Give the radio button field a good, clear, recognizable name. Add as many predefined options as needed.
Selection
The select input field allows a user to select an option when completing a Standard Operating Procedure.
As a manager you can add a selection element to your workflow. To do this, click on the
"Add element" button in the editor:
Then click on the "Selection" button under the "User Input" tab:
Give the selection field a good, clear, recognizable name. Add the necessary options.
Slider
The slider input field allows a user to select a value by sliding a control along a scale when completing a Standard Operating Procedure.
As a manager you can add a slider to your workflow. To do this, click on the
"Add element" button in the editor:
Then click on the "Slider" button under the "User Input" tab:
Give the slider field a good, clear, recognizable name.
Switch
The switch input field allows a user to select options with a switch button when completing a Standard Operating Procedure.
As a manager you can add a switch element to your workflow. To do this, click on the
"Add element" button in the editor:
Then click on the "Switch" button under the "User Input" tab:
Give the switch field a good, clear, recognizable name. Configure the available options as needed.
Text
The text input field allows a user to enter text on a single line when completing a Standard Operating Procedure.
As a manager you can add a text element to your workflow. To do this, click on the
"Add element" button in the editor:
Then click on the "Text" button under the "User Input" tab:
Give the text field a good, clear, recognizable name.
Text area
The text area input field allows a user to enter longer text across multiple lines when completing a Standard Operating Procedure.
As a manager you can add a text area element to your workflow. To do this, click on the
"Add element" button in the editor:

Give the text area field a good, clear, recognizable name.
